In May, I had the privilege of attending the 2025 Invest in ME Research International Conference in Cambridge, UK, along with OMF’s research Directors. This annual event brings together scientists, clinicians, and advocates committed to advancing ME/CFS and Long COVID research worldwide.
Following the conference, OMF’s CRC Directors gathered for an additional two-day, in-person meeting. This dedicated session allowed for deep collaboration and planning across our international research centers. Topics discussed included:
- Overarching hypotheses of the disease,
- Common outcome measures to use across projects, and
- Strategic directions of OMF’s comprehensive research portfolio.
These collaborative gatherings remind us why international cooperation and open data sharing are so vital to advancing ME/CFS and Long COVID research. The momentum continues to build, and we are all determined to find answers to bring people back to good health.
